Cadbury has been aggressively promoting the latest positioning " Kuch Meethi ho jaye " . The brand has for a while using Amitabh Bachchan to maximum. The latest story involves BigB craving for Dairy Milk when the car driver mention the word 'Meetha ' or Sweet.

The brand want itself to be synonymous with Sweet. The new campaign comes after the successful ' Pappu pass ho gaya ' and ' Miss Palampur " campaigns. Both these campaigns were aimed at generating social acceptance of consumption of chocolate during occasions to celebrate .

ReplyDeleteTake the ad you first refer to... the one in which Big B gets off the car, hits the pole, his soul gets into the girl and once in her, he satisfies his urge for the dairy milk... and the caption says... 'jab andar se awaaz aaye, kuch meetha ho jaaye'
Just in order to depict the fact that 'andar se awaaz' aayi hai for 'kuch meetha', they go to the extent of making the fellow die and his soul fulfil that last urge!
Seems like an ad that, when thought of and gradually developed over the board, would have seemed nice to the people thinking of it... but then... falls way short of the mark in actuality.
